Once again I have failed to keep the blog updated!  We have been crazy busy and I am finding it hard to keep on top of this thing.  Anyways, enough of my excuses, here is the good stuff…

Westin and Summer came to visit on Labor Day weekend.  We had a wonderful time and enjoyed their visit!  While they were here Summer helped me do some craft projects in the house, she’s really talented!  Thanks Summer!!

Cakes

I have been doing a lot of cakes recently.  Different requests, some baby shower and some birthday, but LOTS of cakes!  Tim always comes in and tries to get pictures of me working on the cakes.

I have been making lots of Emma’s dresses for the winter!  I made this outfit out of an old pair of shorts.

Everett has learned to play peek a boo all by himself.  Tim managed to catch him on video the other night while he was playing with me.  It’s pretty cute!

Well, poor little Everett has an ear infection…AGAIN!  I suspected that he might over the weekend when he was not sleeping very well.  My suspicions were confirmed when he woke up every hour on Monday night and then took a 30 minute nap (not normal for him at all) on Tuesday.  The pediatrician got us in Tuesday afternoon and low and behold I was correct. 

She said the tubes are still in, but the left ear (the infected ear) is not draining properly.  It is “clogged” with the actual drainage.  He’s on a round of 10 day antibiotics and we are using his antibiotic ear drops that Dr. McDonald gave him to hopefully clear out the clog.  We will go back on Monday for a check and a wellness visit, so we are hoping for good results with this method of treatment.  In the meantime, he’s back on the Motrin/Tylenol pain control regiment! 

Okay, so the quality on this picture stinks…mostly, because I took a picture of the television screen from the video monitor!  He  frequently sleeps sideways in his bed and he barely fits.  I’m afraid he’s going to get stuck!

I gave Everett a Gerber biter biscuit and he managed to make the most disgusting mess ever!  Those things are NASTY, but Everett seems to love them!

Here are the family photos from a couple of weeks ago when Jon and Emily Beaty (http://www.beatyphotography.com) met us at a local church and took outdoor family photos as well as Everett’s 6 month old photos.  We are thrilled with the way they came out!  We love Jon and Emily.
