Steph and I took Emma to the community pool today.  It was pleasantly not crowded for a Saturday, although it was hot.  We all had a great time.  Emma loves the water.

We bought her a swimming outfit that has floating devices sewn into it and it makes a huge difference.  We spent a little extra and got a nice one that fits her well and doesn't ride up her shoulders and get in the way.

We stayed in the "big kids" pool most of the time and she swam around on her own from me to Steph and vice versa.  She likes jumping in off the side as long as one of you are close, but she actually prefers if you don't catch her so that she will go under and bob back up.  She also really enjoys going down the slides into the water.  Emma and I went down a pair of tandem slides several times together.  She was pretty worn out from all of her exercise swimming but she did great, especially for being 2 1/2.
